Every student begins each day on green.
Think About It - Yellow is a warning and a reminder to follow the rules. The student will no longer be able to choose a prize from the treasure box for the week.
Teacher's Choice - The student has continued to make poor choices and an appropriate consequence will be assigned (i.e. loss of recess time or free time). There will be an orange note in your child's folder to be signed by a parent and returned.
Parent Contact - Moving to red will result in an appropriate consequence (i.e. an after school detention, loss of consecutive recesses, etc.)
Any severe disruptions will result in a child being sent to the office.
Rewards
Each student has the opportunity to earn a reward from the treasure box for the week by consistently demonstrating on-task, appropriate behaviors.
V.I.P.
If a student continually shows outstanding behavior, they earn the priviledge of being named VIP. They keep the "crafty crate" at their desk for a week and may immediately pick a prize from the treasure box. The VIP will also have the option to bring in a favorite book to share with the class!
